When a food blogger gets married, how could you not pick one of the best restaurants in Napa, CA
I asked Jullie what was her favorite part of the day this is what she said “My favorite part of the wedding was the actual ceremony…my dad crying while walking me down the aisle, our families taking part in the ceremony, and getting to do all of the traditional elements such as the veil and cord…it was all so profound and intimate. And I knew I’d have my best friend, love of my life, and best partner/teammate I could ever ask for by my side, forever. That is the best part. (But a close second would be all of the food at our reception! Lol Brix is so good!!!)
I also asked Jullie if she had any tips for future brides 🙂 This is what she said “ Since I‘m also pregnant and I wanted my wedding to be as stress-free as possible, my tips are all about self-care and comfort! A) Don’t forget to eat. You might be worried about squeezing into your dress, but nobody wants a bride with low energy/blood sugar levels either. Especially if you have an afternoon ceremony like I did, make sure to fit a light, balanced lunch in beforehand! And hydrate with enough water, summer brides! B) Have comfy shoes ready for the reception! I wore flat sandals and it helped a ton. Once you’ve stood around taking photos and have done a bit of walking around different locations, your feet (and calves!) will thank you for the relief of flats. C) Remember to relax and enjoy your moment! It’s really easy to get swept up in the scheduling of it all—ceremony at 2, photos next, cocktail reception at x-oclock, then speeches, then first dances, etc., etc. Take a moment every now and then to take your own mental snapshots, breathe and be present, and feel gratitude for your special day!
