Ugne & Wyatt – Park Winters, Winters CA

Ugne & Wyatt were married at the park winters, in winters Ca.

When I asked Ugne a little on their love story and how they met, this is what she said “Wyatt and I met doing the thing we enjoy the most in our free time: Video Games. At that time, we were living eight hours away while I attended college. In between studying and work, we would spend hours a week playing games together, first with a group of friends and then later between just the two of us. Video games turned into Skype calls and about half a year later, we met for the first time in person at Six Flags with some friends of mine. Since I had to go back to college, we continued spending time online every day and saw each other a couple times a year. Things weren’t easy, but we stuck with each other for three years before we finally moved in together. This year, we will celebrate six years together and our first wedding anniversary and we still play video games on a regular basis together. “

When I asked about her favorite part of the wedding this is what she said, “My immediate family lives on the other side of the country, and the remaining relatives overseas. Most of my family hasn’t met Wyatt’s side of the family, so for everyone to come together for the first time was truly heartwarming. Looking back at the photos and wedding video, having the people we love the most be with us was an incredible joy.”

I asked Ugne if she had any tips for a couple planning their wedding, this is what she said, “Do what works best for you and your husband. There seem to be many unwritten rules and expectations in online communities, and there is no problem in glancing there for inspiration, but it is not a cookie cutter. Take your time to look for good vendors and know what you expect of them. Our vendors all were incredibly amazing, but it took some time to find them. And remember what matters the most: That at the end of the day you and your husband will be married and you got to celebrate with people you love. Mishaps will happen, trust your professional vendors (Hiring a wedding coordinator is a MUST, even if you planned most of the details of the day yourself, a lot of the day-of stress will be relieved if you know that someone is keeping an eye on everything for you).”
